Madam Unscrupulous: Ex-ARD boss wants pension worth millions

According to the German government, the average old-age pension in Germany after at least 45 years of insurance is 1,543 euros per month. The former director of “Radio Berlin-Brandenburg” (RBB), Patricia Schlesinger, wants almost twelve times as much: 18,384.54 euros a month is what the woman who damaged the station’s reputation with her penchant for luxury even more than it already was due to one-sided red-green reporting is demanding.

At 18,384.54 euros per month and an average lifetime, this would result in a total company pension of 4.8 million euros, calculates the “Bild”. And this, after Schlesinger, among other things, through controversial consulting contracts, a salary increase to 303,000 euros, additional bonuses, an expensive company car, the luxury renovation of the executive floor, massage chairs, imported parquet and “living walls” as well as a dinner in her private apartment at RBB expense with allegedly false invoices did not miss any opportunity to waste fee money.

This went so far that even the Berlin General Prosecutor’s Office investigated. Schlesinger’s lawyers alone incurred costs of no less than 1.4 million euros for the broadcasting company and thus for everyone who has to pay compulsory license fees. This went on until the otherwise so submissive RBB Broadcasting Council had a change of heart and dismissed Schlesinger as director. But the Broadcasting Board and the political leaders did not make sense of the damage – much to the displeasure of the employees, they appointed former Merkel spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer, of all people, as the new director. This is a clear signal that the political and public broadcasters’ fraternity is continuing.

In this respect, Schlesinger is by no means alone in the audacity with which she is now demanding her luxury pension. Her lawyer argued that she had borne great responsibility for years and had therefore earned the pension. It is only a “company pension, which she has earned in over 30 years,” as the “Focus” writes.

You have to let that roll off the tongue: The demand for the 18,384.54 euros per month comes at a time when RBB has recently announced that it will have to cut 100 jobs and save 50 million euros in the coming year.

Schlesinger reveals the unabashed racketeering mentality at GEZ broadcasters. Critics have long called these pension institutions with associated broadcasting operations – because the retirement benefits are enormously lavish. In the stations themselves, a completely separate reality apparently prevails. Not long ago, a colleague from one of the institutions revealed to me how afraid he was of his retirement: The 5,000 euros he would then receive net would be “too little to live on and too much to die on,” he said.

The example shows: Thanks to lavish forced funding, the stations have not only degenerated into a propaganda apparatus. They have also lost all touch with the reality of those who have to pay their fat salaries and pensions. The feudalism within the institutions is particularly cynical: While the permanently employed apparatchiks, like feudal lords, draw on their wealth and form their own caste, they often look with disdain on the army of freelancers, on whom massive savings are made and who often can barely make ends meet financially. Although they do the bulk of the work.

The wonderful idea of a public broadcaster with a duty to balance has turned into a propaganda monster that is completely removed from the reality of the people in this country. One almost has to be grateful to ex-director Schlesinger that she keeps making people aware of this through her unscrupulousness.

It depends on you – on your support! 1000 thanks!

ZDF has had my deciphering video about Markus Lanz’s methods blocked three times on Youtube. The shot backfired. I uploaded it to the free internet on Rumble. It has been viewed a whopping 6.5 million times. Apparently because the algorithms don’t slow down “critical” content like they do on YouTube. One reader calculated that this meant that more viewers had seen my critical analysis of the program than the program itself. My decrypted video on the ZDF’s diatribe about Hans-Georg Maaßen has also been clicked 6.2 million times on Rumble. That gives you courage! But it also costs a lot of time and energy – in this specific case, a night shift. I am all the more grateful for your support. Without them, my work would not be possible, because I receive neither compulsory fees nor tax millions, nor do I have a billionaire sponsor. For this I am independent!
Currently (again) donations via credit card, Apple Pay etc. are possible – despite the Paypal block: via this link. Alternatively via bank transfer, IBAN: DE30 6805 1207 0000 3701 71. For those who have little themselves, I expressly ask you to keep what little you have. I am all the more pleased to receive support from all those whom it does not hurt.
