Sexual assaults among daycare children: What are the causes?

A guest contribution by Iris Zukowski

In the spring of this year, a daycare center in the Ruhr region experienced shocking sexual assaults among the children in its care. Focus reports “sexual violence” among children: “Children would have had to urinate in the mouths of others. Others had to show their private parts to be allowed to swing. Fifteen children would be among the victims, according to the… One child, who was probably assisted by two friends, had forced other children to urinate and defecate in front of the group. Also, children had to insert bugs and plants into their genitals. One of the victims was only three years old. He said the daycare center has commented on what happened, most of which dates back to the spring. In a letter, however, she spoke only of “boundary-violating and assaultive behavior among children.”

Why are the incidents not seen as a serious signal of the potential impact of freely available Internet pornography or the newly introduced WHO educational standards and textbooks on developing a child’s sexuality? The Bavarian Educational Guidebook presents sexualized assaults among children in the context of “child sexuality” (described in detail). False models are not considered.

Children who get the idea of asking other children to insert objects into their genitals or who use their penis to urinate on another child (the imitation ejaculation) have received stimuli to do so – whether through access to pornographic role models they imitate – whether through sexual abuse or through the novel sex education approaches. Daycare centers and kindergartens have the “state educational mandate” to “support” young children in learning more about sexuality, discovering and exploring their own bodies and those of other children without shame.

According to the WHO, the child’s curiosity about his or her body and that of other children should be encouraged and de-tabooed, and (false) shame should be discarded.

“By exploring sexual feelings and desires and asking questions, children learn more and more about sexuality. From the age of three, they understand that adults make a secret of it. They test adults’ limits by suddenly undressing or using sexually enriched language. Young children are extremely curious and ask many questions…Older children gradually develop feelings of shame, although the timing and expression vary, depending also on family background. Around the age of six, children are still very inquisitive, but they notice that many adults are no longer as open to their questions as they pretend to be…. Children as young as five, and especially between seven and eight, like to show off their genitals and want to look at other children’s as well.”(BZgA_Standards_German.pdf ,page 27).

What sounds pedagogically benevolent at a superficial glance, seems like the robbery of innate childlike shame and the sexualization of the child’s body upon closer analysis. It is astonishing that this disturbing intervention in child development can be declared as pedagogical progress and as promotion of the child. According to the new WHO standards, sex education should begin at the tender age of 0- 3 years. These guidelines are also followed by new sex education books, which strangely receive many positive reviews on Amazon. They also open up space for sexualized behavior disorders in young children.

Children's books on novel sex education

The book “Lina, the Discoverer”(2020), is aimed at girls aged 3-6. The content is described as follows: “Enlightening children’s book for the normalization and de-tabooing of vulva and sexuality. The picture book “Lina, the Explorer” tells the research journey of the curious Lina, who discovers and travels her own body. In the process, the vulva is put in the spotlight – away from insecurities and taboos. Lina knows that her sexual organ is called vulva – and not “down there” or “between the legs”. Lina’s entertaining journey is complemented by informative knowledge about body hair and hygiene, nudity and growing up. With this book, the authors would like to make a contribution to promoting a natural approach to sexual organs among adolescents.” Some of the illustrations show the (female) abdomen with spread legs, the orifices are described and named.

The book “Bruno wants to aim high” (2022) is aimed at boys from the age of 3. “Why does a penis sometimes get bigger and firmer? Why does a blow to the testicles hurt so much? Prick, cock, member – what do you call the penis? Bruno dreams of flying into space in a rocket. On his exploration tour, he learns a lot about his own body, in particular: the penis and testicles. In a child-friendly way, myths and clichés are broken, knowledge is imparted, and a positive approach to the body and penis is generated.” This book is also enriched with illustrations. One picture shows a small, naked boy standing in the shower with an erect penis.

Why would it be beneficial for young children to engage with the vagina or an erect penis? Naturally, toddlers regard the vagina or penis as body parts for peeing, to which they pay no special or even supposedly sexual attention. However, if the child’s interest in his or her body and that of other children is aroused and attention is drawn to these body regions, it is natural for children to begin experimenting with them, completely inappropriately.

The natural development of the child into a (psycho-sexually) healthy person can be severely disturbed by the new type of sex education. The natural, innate boundaries of shame are broken through and dissolved in the child’s consciousness. “Shame” is presented as something wrong and the sexualization of the child’s body as something normal.

How does the new type of sex education affect children's behavior and development in the long term?

We have to ask ourselves if children who do not have a stable home – who do not experience love or attention – could understand the sexualization of their body, as a way to get attention and “attention”? It would be conceivable that especially disadvantaged children could get the idea to prostitute themselves (TG/pocket money dates) or consent to child pornography. If we accept that “child sexual needs” are declared a scientific fact and children are encouraged to explore or masturbate their own and others’ bodies without shame, assaults by pedophiles could go largely unpunished in the future. The abuser could imply that the abuse victim demanded and wanted sex. How will everyday life and family life change with a “sexually promoted” toddler?

Most people have already forgotten to question the long-term consequences of brutal interventions in nature, in the human immune system or in the natural development of children. The long-term effects that unnatural sex education has on children’s behavior and self-perception are foreseeable and multi-faceted.

What kind of future awaits us if (state-imposed) children are reduced to a sexual being, free of shame and distraught, from an early age?

Under fire – but all the more important is your support!

“Conspiracy ideologue,” “Nazi” or “right-wing agitator”: as a critical journalist today, you have to constantly have dirt thrown at you. The public broadcasters are particularly active in this area. ARD’s chief fact-finder Gensing already sued me in 2019, and the Böhmermann broadcaster ZDF recently slandered me as a “propagator of conspiracy narratives” – without naming a single piece of evidence, and in a post full of lies. Springer journalist Gabor Steingardt slandered me in “Focus,” for which I worked for 16 years, as a “member of an army of tin soldiers” and a “media fighting machine” of the AfD. On the initiative of “Westdeutscher Rundfunk,” I was even put on the wanted list. If one defends oneself legally, one usually has to bear the costs oneself. Your support is all the more important. Also morally. It spurs you on to keep going and not give up. Thank you very much for making my work possible with your contribution – without compulsory fees and tax money.
Currently (again) donations via credit card, Apple Pay etc. are possible – despite the Paypal block: via this link. Alternatively via bank transfer, IBAN: DE30 6805 1207 0000 3701 71. For those who have little themselves, I expressly ask you to keep what little you have. I am all the more pleased to receive support from all those whom it does not hurt.
