The time has come! My book is printed and today the shipping begins! Hot off the press! At last I can unpack in it what all happened behind the scenes at the Federal Press Conference – what I had to keep to myself while I was still a member and still had hopes of taking legal action against my expulsion. These are monstrosities that would be a major issue in a functioning democracy with a free media landscape. But they are hushed up in the “best Germany ever”.
For the first time, I also tell in the book how I went to court against the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” because of their attempted character assassination against me. And how two courts shot everything down in a way that finally shook my remaining trust in the rule of law. All of this no longer has anything to do with press law as I learned it in my training at the “Augsburger Allgemeine”. I now had to learn that the “Süddeutsche” is allowed to spread lies about me with complete impunity. Because, according to the judges, it does not matter whether a statement is true or not. The incredible details can also be found in my book.
It is called “My Expulsion”. And in doing so, I also violate a principle that I have always imposed on myself as a journalist: To keep private matters and my own feelings out of my work as much as possible. But because my professional and private lives went hand in hand during my expulsion, I make an exception in my book – and lift the curtain on how I dealt with the hatred and hatemongering. And what finally made me leave Germany – of necessity. How I left it. And how I have arrived in my new home.
Actually, I didn’t want to write all this down. Because I don’t think journalists should put themselves at the center of their work. Due to the special circumstances of the last few years, I have been in the spotlight much more than I would like anyway. That’s why I reacted very negatively when Dirk Maxeiner suggested to me at the end of 2022 that I should write a book about everything I had experienced – and about which I had always kept him up to date in a spirit of friendship and collegiality, often asking for advice. Maxeiner is one of the founders and managing directors of the “Axis of Good”. I had to write the book, absolutely – that’s how he talked to me.
He had already thought about the working title: “My Expulsion. Maxeiner said that all the harassment, the psychological terror I was subjected to was not just my private business. But I have to hold on to them: “And not only on the Internet, which can be turned off overnight. But on paper, so that it stands on many, many shelves, and some copies will always survive. You have a duty to document it,” he said in a very serious voice.
It took a few more conversations for him to get me to that point. Whereby I insisted that the book should not become a “lament”. I am convinced that I was lucky in my misfortune and got through this terrible time much better than many others. Who suffered much more. Or they broke because of all the agitation and hatred. Like the Austrian biologist and vaccination critic Clemens Arvay, whom his henchmen drove to suicide. I have dedicated my book to him and to all the other victims of that terrible time.
Joie de vivre and energy
It was important to me that, in addition to describing the harassment and psychological terror, I also draw a moral picture of contemporary Germany. At least in tearing. And that I write about what is breaking our country. And that, as I know from the many, many letters I have received from you, my dear readers, also affects you. It was very important to me that the book was not about complaining. Despite everything, I have remained a cheerful and joyful person. And I hope to be able to give you some of this joie de vivre and energy in the book. It is very close to my heart that my book helps you to understand, to classify, to process, and also to cope with what is happening in the Federal Republic.
A colleague I hold in high esteem and know well has already written an article about my book – under a pseudonym, because otherwise he would have to worry about consequences, which says a lot about the mood in Germany and freedom of expression.
The “Axis of Good”, which publishes the book, is therefore also concerned that it could quickly be banned. Given the current state of our justice system, this is a fear that unfortunately cannot be dismissed out of hand. In this respect, I recommend that you pre-order the book – then you will certainly get one of the first copies, as long as it is not yet banned and/or out of print. The book is also very suitable as a gift. Even though Christmas is still a while away – it’s coming as surely as the next insane push by our federal government.

ZDF has had my deciphering video about Markus Lanz’s methods blocked three times on Youtube. The shot backfired. I uploaded it to the free internet on Rumble. It has been viewed a whopping 6.5 million times. Apparently because the algorithms don’t slow down “critical” content like they do on YouTube. One reader calculated that this meant that more viewers had seen my critical analysis of the program than the program itself. My decrypted video on the ZDF’s diatribe about Hans-Georg Maaßen has also been clicked 6.2 million times on Rumble. That gives you courage! But it also costs a lot of time and energy – in this specific case, a night shift. I am all the more grateful for your support.
